Echo Creek is proud to be the home of the Duke University Equestrian Team (DUET) AND the UNC at Chapel Hill Equestrian Team (UNCET).

The students often ride together in their lessons, and they definitely support each other at the horse shows.

Both teams are active in the Intercolliegate Horse Show Association (IHSA) in Region 3 of Zone 4. The show season is from September to May.

The team members come to lessons once or twice a week to work on their riding and equitation skills. They ride the Echo Creek Horses. Once a year, either DUET or UNCET will host an IHSA show at Echo Creek.

In addition to the Equestrian Teams , Echo Creek offers a PE class for Duke students. Three classes are offered: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The students come twice a week for the semester and receive a half credit.
